NEW LOGO

Many people have asked us about our new logo, which was created by designer Kaelyn Wraase. We’ll let Kaelyn describe it in her own words:

“Powerful. Dynamic. Layered. The San Jose Wind Symphony is an immersive musical force, and this new logo needs to evoke the same depth and artistry that the ensemble brings to its community while honoring the city it lives and breathes in. Using a graphic representation of San Jose’s notable domed City Hall and the towering buildings that line downtown, an abstracted eighth note is formed among the layers. In this way, the city and the music become one. The logo’s simplicity complements SJWS’s timelessness, and its use of three-dimensional forms and dark areas of shadow give it a depth and mass that speaks to the ensemble’s presence in the community. Together, it becomes a mark that can handle the force and the elegance of the San Jose Wind Symphony.”
